Expressive Words or Approximations

7/30/10 - Mikaela chatters up a storm! She loves to vocalize and express herself. We are working on pronouns like me, you, mine, yours, etc. Her speech is really coming along! I would guess an outsider with experience talking to 2-3 year olds would probably understand 60% or more of what Mikaela says. We are still working of F, G and K sounds. Her sentences are about 5-7 words in length.
This list is huge now! Well over 75!! She is adding new approximations every day!

Words Recognized Only Said Orally

She is almost "age appropriate" at this time (7/30/10). She gets two and sometimes three key words in a sentence. For example: May I have the bear, the fish and the monkey. She will hand them to me a high percentage of the time. Every day is a miracle!!
This list is now enormous! She can follow simple directions, understands a lot of playtime activities, and much more! I would say she's understanding what maybe a typical 18 month old or so would understand.
